The printer fucked up. At least it was only for my pages, not the rest of the paper as far as I found. Grar. Whatever.

two cups of coffee (5 sugars, 3 half-n-halfs. 2 sugars, 3 equals, 3 half-n-halfs.), two donuts, and at least five or six donut holes. only reason i'm not dead.

After spending twenty minutes on the phone with customer service reps (who were very nice and helpful), I cry.

Earlier, I was trying to purge my outbox, in order to have more message space (because it was nearly full). But instead, I deleted all my messages. And for someone like me, who is a sentimental fool and keeps everything that touches her somehow, or affects her, this is quite a blow.

:(

*sigh*

Eh.. off to bed. Defeat.

Yay she's back!

Guard was fun. Felt better. Laughed for like the last fifteen minutes of the car ride.

We also discovered that I'm an elephant-turtle creature.

".....6!..9!"

Plies. Hee. Hair fixing. Divorced couple. Ga-dunk-adunk twins. Boobage.

And... I just ate a sticker. I'm eating an apple and I look down and I only see half a sticker where my bite mark is. Uhh..

LISTEN TO THE ANNOUNCEMENTS TOMORROW.

Write an ode to me.

And then a song.

That should keep you not bored and give you something to do for a bit.

I had a good time yesterday. We went around through the wood-y areas of the neighbourhood. We started out near my house, went toward Ridgeview (in a wooded area), ended up near Thurgood Marshall, crossed over into another wooded area. Walked around in there, ended up near the power lines, then back through another part of the woods-y-ness. Up onto Sioux, close to the apparently former portable area (when did they disappear?), over the field at Ridgeview, onto the path, where we ended up seeing Becca and Mihir.

Oh yeah, earlier (like one of the first things we did was step in some mud. Heh. (We decided it was not the other thing that has a tendency to make casts.)

It was quite enjoyable.

And this made me laugh. When I got home, I was looking at the Post, at the comics, and this was my horoscope: Nature is restorative. Being an earth sign, you are in a unique position to immerse yourself in it right now. You don't have to find a forest. Cut open a zucchini, and look at the beautiful design of its seed placement. Really look.

Heh. We did find a "forest," though. And I did need it. I had originally planned to just go to my spot, but everything was too bare and open and I didn't like it, so we kept going. Hee hee.

And guard practice apparently was cancelled. So, that works. No parade, though. Oh well. Videos today.

i hate deadline.

Subject:..well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance..
Time:11:36 pm.
Mood: hungry for content..
Okay, so I've been given background reading for an editing project that I'm working on (will be *plopped* soon, once it's finished), Breakfast at Tiffany's and High Fidelity. Apparently, the movie version with Audrey Hepburn is different from the book. I can't see how they could successfully make it into a movie. It doesn't seem like that kind of book. But then again, I have a slight "errr" toward book-made-movie projects, well, except for Harry Potter, because that's just that.

Anyway. Started High Fidelity first, got the idea of what I need to walk away from it with, then decided to start the other. Read it all, was pleasantly surprised, although it starts out slow, it was not bad at all. (From just looking/hearing random bits about the movie, I was never particularly interested.) I liked it. And now I'm about halfway through High Fidelity, just after he's seen TMPMITW. (And all this today.)

So, I realised I need to get my hands on books (actual books, not net stories because my eyes hurt form looking at the screen, which is why I've been devouring webcomics with more enthusiasm than usual. I need to close/cover one eye for it to not bother as much. actually, just seeing in general, but yeah.). I've also been reading a fair amount of essays.

We were assigned to read "Metamorphasis" by Kafka for lit. It's in this big collection of other satire essays. I've just swallowed whole most of those, and working through the rest. And a few weeks earlier, I was outside, by that playground for the child development kids, and a book of texts was on the ground, obviously thrown out the window (typical). I figured I'd pocket it and maybe read a little, but what really caught my eye was "Atwood." "Uglypuss" was all right, I'd like to read more of her. So, I decided it was mine and read. It also had "A&P," in it, which made me quite happy.

Also, during lit, one of those days we were reading aloud from Hamlet and when I was in no state to actually focus, I spied a copy of "Ender's Game." I checked the back to make sure it wasn't assigned to anyone who would miss it, and pocketed it for awhile. I had heard it was good, and reading a synopsis awhile back, was intruiged. Read it and damn. I also realised that it was what one of the fanmixes I had downloaded a bit back was about.

So, I need recommendations. Books, stories, articles, anything digestible would be awesome. Even more so if you actually have a copy you can lend me. Any suggestions? (I always love backgrounds.)

Not to mention, for the past few days, I've had "Moondance" stuck in my head.

one more moondance with you in the moonlight.

While I'm typing this, I'm also simultaneously choreographing a solo show in my head. OOooo, talented. Hah.

Anyway, long time no update. Well, no real update in any case.

Same ol', same old. Nothing much different, but a lot, too.

So, yes. "What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up": yer momma.

I'm going to be going to Hah-vahd on the Pike. Maybe I'll get in the Scholars program, most likely not. Probably take graphic design courses, for a lot of it, well, advertising, too, mehbe, I dunno. So, I'm going to be around, not going anywhere.

Currently looking for a job, which is always tons of fun. But I have a job for later, but I need another one, as well. The job search is going okay, although if I can't come up with anything ideal by, let's say, end of April/beginning of May, I'll break down for the others. It'll be five years of band camp and counting.

School is all right, not horribly bad, not particularly great. Speaking of school, I didn't go today. Not because of Senior Skip Day (which was today), I would've gone anyway, but poopiness. Yes!

So far it's between two, but I'm sure which it'll be.

Woah, got distracted.

And again.

[He gets worked up so easily. It's so frustrating. And he's such a hypocrite. And he can't listen to it. *sigh* Whatever, he forgets that I can give it back. eh.]

I like.... *looks around the room desperately for something* spoons. Yes, spoons. Heh. Spoons. Oh Jimmy.

The lyrics of some songs depress me.

Now, it's up to three. Because of the song I was going to do last year. Hmmm...

Eh. Yesterday was...yeah. In addition (something else), no one showed up except for us. yay. And the janitor came in and told us we should finish up. It was funny because we were running through and then Becky bonked herself on the head and he felt it was his fault. Hee.

Okay, I've run out of things to say except that people suck at being quiet when other people are sleeping. That, and I want some churros. Or breakfast burritos. Either one is kosher.

i am so bored with my layout.

Physics, two periods ago. We had a quiz today.

"Can we go over KVL? Because we spent so much time on KCL.."
"What's KCL?"

Okay, anyway. I need your help. Peoples need people to interview and whatnot.

-Do you know anyone who's gone backpacking or plans to go backpacking? Extra points if they go to QO, or are at least a grad.

-People who are pay attention to foreign media (music, movies, books, magazines, etc.).

Love you.

Back to work. (Oh, half days, how I love thee...)

Oh yeah. Guard stuff.

This Friday: Liz, Becky and I are going to do a short show to the first minute of Michael Tolcher's "Sooner or Later" during intermission of the chorus concert.

This Saturday: Spinout is having our first competition that we care about. If you're interested in going, talk to me, and we'll work it out.

Saturday, March 11: We'll be doing a little routine at the St. Patrick's Day Parade. w00t!

Starting End of March: Clinics/information meetings/try-outs for fall colorguard. Check the QO Guard site for more info.

More competitions for Spinout later plus the exhibition at some point. It's all good fun.

I am so utterly stressed right now, it's not even funny.

When I have a lot on my plate, I like to pretend that most of it doesn't exist at a time, so I don't die and can focus on other things, except it all came to kick me in the butt with jazz sneakers.

And this morning, in my dream, I was ridiculously stressed. IN MY DREAMS! I was working things, getting so worked up that when my alarm went off around five, I nearly had a heart attack. Literally. I tried to go back to sleep for a little because I know I need it, but I also knew that there was no way in hell that that was happening. So here I am, a half-hour later, still feeling like I'm about to crack.

It's quite pleasant, actually.

But seriously, practice always has the ability to make me feel eons better. Oh! And we got our pants! *boogie woogie* They're sexy. Anyway. Practice equals awesome. Plus the car ride, as much as I bitch about it, it's tons of fun. This evening, on the way back, guess what Liz had in her player? Eve 6. :D Then, Fuel. :D So much sing-a-long-age.

Okay, for the sake of me, fifth period today does not exist.

And I'm not mad at you. I was just trying to get to Felicia and my head hurts and I didn't feel like thinking it out, so I yelled at you. No reason. I'm sorry. But you do suck because I wanted extended talking with you but you had to go to a meeting, so that was was saddening. But I suppose that since I didn't tell you that I wanted talking, you can't suck.

I have rehearsal today, which means I won't be available until 9:30-10ish, so don't bother calling before then. And if you're calling just to chat, please don't. Only if you really need to talk.

My page is done with me. Send around the room, then final Goodman before printer's. Yay.

Or maybe I should've talked to AJ during first. Oh well.

I like the stairwell.

And Liz shall be here soon, so bye.

So, my sleeping schedule has been shot. (I've been up since 04:30 or earlier today.) But that's okay, I'm more awake in class.

Because we all know you love reading about me...Collapse )

No competition this week, but I think we will be going to the March 25. We have one next Saturday, which is exciting!

Yeah.

Pages are almost completely done. Then, they circulate around for error checks. Then, they go off to printer's. And already working on next issue. (Or starting to, rather.)

Okay, It's 05:20. Which depresses me. But, oh well, now I don't have to berate myself for not going back to sleep.

BUT PLACEBO IN A LITTLE OVER A MONTH!!!!

//edit:I have just been informed, by Annie, through MySpace comment, that WE HAVE A FLOOR! YAAAAAAAAY! *boogies down now* *hot sex/happy music*:edit//

AND COLEMAN IS HOT SEX. (it is a fact that you should all be aware of.)

Dress rehearsals went okay. We perform this week. Eep!

So You Wanna Be On Colorguard? Are you interested in trying out for QO's fall colorguard for 2006? Well, click on the link and find out more information about try-outs. (First clinic will be at the end of March, on the 29th.) If you're curious and you want to ask questions, feel free to e-mail Liz or comment here, we're friendly.

I don't very much like the pink jellybeans. White equals awesome. Then, green. Then, the rest. I'm acclimating to black.

And on that note, I think I'm going to write my journal for comparative religions and read The Stranger. And also likely is me reading "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," which Zabeth so kindly lent me. (I don't remember whether I actually :have: read it or I was about to borrow it from someone. All of this being, ummm, freshman year?)
